Never for sale

I can't stand pay-to-win, so here's the line: nothing in this store makes you stronger than the player standing next to you.

Quite frankly, a server costs money to run, and this is how Oathtale pays for itself. If you spend money here, you should get something good for it, and it should never cost anyone else a fight. If the store ever stops covering the bills, I'll say so right here rather than quietly start selling power.

  • Boosts are for everyone

A boost lifts every player online at once, including people who've never paid a cent, so it moves nobody past anybody.

  • Cases are earned

The Arena's loot cases go to the players who bring its bosses down. They're never sold, and neither is anything inside them.

  • No hats, ever

The helmet someone earned is how you size them up before a fight, and from +7 their gear sparkles. Nothing in here covers either.

Server boosts

one hour · every player online · your name on it

A boost runs for everyone online, and the whole server sees who bought it. Buy one here in euros, or in game with gems.

If a boost is already running, buying another adds its time to the clock instead of stacking the rate, so four EXP boosts in a row make four boosted hours, not one crazy one.

  • Boost bundle1 hour

All three boosts at once, for the full hour.

  • Boost bundle, extended3 hours

  • Gold boost+25% · 1 hour

Every player online earns a quarter more gold from kills.

    8 €1,000 gems
  • Dustos Blessing1 hour

Every kill can carry a multiplier on the killer's experience, from 2× all the way up to 200×, and clanmates sharing the kill still get their usual share. The bigger the multiplier, the rarer it is.

    15 €1,800 gems
The Dustos Blessing the multipliers, and about how often each shows up
  1. 2×1 kill in 7
  2. 5×1 kill in 21
  3. 10×1 kill in 67
  4. 15×1 kill in 170
  5. 20×1 kill in 330
  6. 25×1 kill in 830
  7. 50×1 kill in 2,000
  8. 100×1 kill in 6,700
  9. 200×1 kill in 20,000

Most kills carry no multiplier. Anything from 5× up is called out to the whole server, with the player's name.

The Gem Shop

everything in it is a look · yours for good once bought

This is where your gems go. Buy a look once and it's yours for good. World events and boosts are the exceptions: they wait under Yours until you fire them.

Not sure? Right-click an effect or a damage font in the shop and it plays a few steps in front of you, for your eyes only, before you spend a thing.

In the closed beta the whole shop is free: every tester gets unlimited gems to try it all. Everything is wiped before launch.

World events

An hour of atmosphere for the whole server, with your name on it. One runs at a time and the rest wait their turn. A server can't repaint the sky, so Blood Moon is a blood-red dusk and Cosmic Aurora a night with a curtain of light in the north.

The Keeper's cases

The Arena's four bosses drop no experience and no gold. Each one gives a case to everyone who helped bring it down: the Scarab, Leviathan, Sphinx and Djinn Case. A case takes its grade from your level on the day you earn it, it's bound to you, and the Arena Keeper opens it for you: one case, one prize.

The rarest prizes are framed in gold, and the whole server hears when one drops.

Boss pets

The Farmstead Ogre, the Shrine Warden, Winter, the Caldera Lord and the King each have a pet of their own, made as a pet rather than the boss shrunk down. It's a rare drop for whoever lands the last hit, and the whole server hears you found it.

It drops as a pet item: right-click it to keep the pet for good, or trade it, or sell it on the auction house. And one comes from no boss at all: the Little Knight hides among Dreamen's Hollow Sentinels, one kill in ten thousand.

Questions

When does the store open?

After launch, in Q4 2026. Until then nothing on this page can be bought, and the prices may still change. The Discord hears first when it opens.

Can I buy gear, gold or levels?

No, and that won't change. Everything that makes you stronger is earned in game: it drops from what you kill, and the anvil does the rest.

Do I keep what I buy?

The looks in the gem shop are yours for good. World events and boosts are one-offs: they wait under Yours in the gem shop until you fire them. What VIP lends you (its pets, fonts and the Prism) is yours while the tier is active.

What happens when my VIP runs out?

Your star, the tier's pets and fonts and the Prism go back. A bank page above your tier turns take-out only: nothing in it is lost, you just can't put new things in. Gems and boosts you've already received stay yours.

Who sees my cosmetics?

Everyone around you sees your pet, your damage numbers, your effects and your skill colours. Your frame and background show when someone sneaks and right-clicks you, or clicks your name in chat.

Does anything from the beta carry over?

The beta's gems are unlimited and free, and everything is wiped before launch, so nothing bought in the beta carries over. What you do keep is the Founder frame.

Until then try it all for free

Play the beta first

The closed beta runs in waves: get your key for the next one at oathtale.com/discord. The whole gem shop is free while it runs. Everyone who plays keeps a Founder frame on their profile. The store itself opens after launch, in Q4 2026.
